My Story: The Journey of BigWynter

Hi, I’m Tom, but you might know me better as BigWynter. My journey to becoming a full-time content creator hasn’t exactly been conventional, but it’s a story I’m incredibly proud to share.

In 2020, I was working in law—a career that seemed stable and secure but left me feeling unfulfilled. Like many others, the global pandemic prompted me to re-evaluate my priorities. I’d been dabbling in Twitch streaming after work, discovering the joy of connecting with others over shared passions. The more I streamed, the more I realised how much I loved creating content and going live. Conversely, my day job no longer felt like the right fit.

After much thought and deliberation, I made the leap to pursue content creation part-time, picking up a new job. It was a scary step, but it quickly became clear this was what I was meant to do. I started taking streaming seriously, engaging with my community more deeply, and exploring new platforms like YouTube and TikTok. Slowly but surely, I built this crazy and supportive community—a group of people who love gaming and good vibes just as much as I do.

After doing this for over 18 months, fast forward to mid 2024, my world shifted again when I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. It was a challenging and humbling change, but it also reinforced my commitment to living life fully and authentically. Through it all, my passion for gaming, content creation, and fostering connection with you lovely people has kept me grounded.
